Medicare

Original Medicare, (Parts A and B), doesn't cover everything.

Medicare Supplements, also known as "Medi-Gap" help to cover some of what Medicare doesn't.  It allows patients to go to any provider who accepts Medicare Payments.  Medicare Supplements are known by a letter of the alphabet.  For instance, Plan G, Plan N, etc.  There are specific benefits required by federal law for each lettered plan.  This is to provide uniformity from one company to another.  In other words, a shopper can expect to find one company's Plan G to be very similar to all other companies' Plan G.  The only difference will be in the cost of the plan and any 'extra' benefits the company may offer with its plan.

Medicare Advantage (MA), sometimes known as Medicare Part C covers all of what Parts A and B cover and adds other benefits as well.  It often requires services to be provided by an in-network provider.  Often, these plans include Prescription Drug Coverage (MAPD).

We do not offer every plan available in your area.  We offer 20 MAPD plans and 2 MA plans.  Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Prescription Drug Coverage (PDP) is also available as a stand-alone add-on.

For low-income people or those who have specific disabilities, we also have Special Needs Plans.  These are available to fully-qualified individuals who are on both Medicare AND Medicaid and they might have a $0 monthly premium while offering more benefits than Medicare and Medicaid combined.
